The Raritan Valley Rail Coalition held their quarterly meeting on Monday at 8:30 am in the Somerset County Administration Building. There were two featured presentations on Transit Oriented Development, one from Mr. Colin Driver, Director of Economic Development for the Borough of Somerville and Mr. Carlos Rodrigues, Urban Design for the Borough of Bound Brook.
Mr. Driver gave a quick presentation showing the great strides Somerville has made over the past decade with development downtown and around the train station. Mr. Driver showed how Bound Brook is following in Somerville’s steps by concentrating on development in downtown and near the train station.
Chairman Peter Palmer gave a quick update on social media, future meetings and fielded questions from the audience. Future meetings include a meeting with NJ TRANSIT on October 8 and an evening information meeting in Cranford late in October, exact date to be announced.
